Microsoft announces price increase for Office 365 and Microsoft 365 Plans
Since its inception over ten years ago, Microsoft’s Office 365 licenses pricing model has been consistent. As the tools in this popular suite have developed, evolved, and advanced, it was expected that the pricing would adjust to represent the true worth of these items at some point.
Customers of Cloud Solution Providers (CSPs) such as IBSCY LTD, will have their subscription plans price secured for the duration of their agreement/subscription, as long as they were purchased before March 1st, 2022. Pricing will be based on the increased cost if any applicable plan purchases are made after March 1, 2022. Existing customers will be unaffected until their next renewal date, which will be on or after March 1, 2022. From March 1st, 2022, all Microsoft 365 and `Office 365 subscribers will be charged on an annual basis based on their next renewal date .
What is the new Microsoft 365 license pricing for 2022
- Microsoft 365 Business Basic – from $5 to $6 per user
- Microsoft 365 Business Premium – from $20 to $22
- Office 365 E1 – from $8 to $10
- Office 365 E3 – from $20 to $23
- Office 365 E5 – from $35 to $38
- Microsoft 365 E3 – from $32 to $36
*These increases and changes will apply in all countries, with local market adjustments for certain regions.
**Pricing changes are valid only for the above plans, any other Microsoft and Office 365 plans pricing remains unchanged.
***All customers subscriptions will be with one year commitment; thus, no licenses can be removed. ONLY upgrades and additions are allowed.
To sum up:
- New pricing is effective as from 1st of March, 2022
- Customers that will renew BEFORE 1st of March, 2022, will keep current pricing for one more year.
- Customers that do not have any plan from the aforementioned, no price increase applies.
- All licenses come with one year commitment.
